The greatest challenge lies in the impossible. My job is to find realistic and optimal solutions.

Felix, Technical Project Manager LENO-ADD-System

Felix found his way to us in Aichach thanks to a compulsory internship during his studies to become a civil engineer. With regional roots, he wanted to stay in the area. ZÜBLIN Timber was not only his only application, but his first choice.

  • Our timber construction systems are characterized by the sustainable combination of raw materials, materials and technology. Combining these complex processes is what drives me.

Was it always your goal to work in the construction industry?

A traditional carpentry apprenticeship in a small business paved the way for me into the construction industry. Manual work in the fresh air and the versatility that you can display as a carpenter were important to me at the time. On top of that, I went on to study civil engineering and specialized further in the industry.

How did you get started at ZÜBLIN Timber?

For my first project, the BV Collegium Academicum in Heidelberg, I did the work preparation and took care of the material flow and logistics. As my day-to-day work progressed, I became more and more familiar with the drawing programs used and was also involved in design and complete work preparation (WP) for other subsequent projects. The technical office at Timber offers a wide range of opportunities to get involved.

What are the tasks of a technical project manager for a timber construction system?

I am responsible for the design and work preparation of our LENO ADD projects and also realize smaller construction projects myself as project manager.
The special thing about my job is that I am involved in the further development of the system and can also think ahead about the technical possibilities. The exchange of ideas internally, externally and within the Group is part of this.

What makes you special?

I'm open to new things, I'm assertive, but I'm also a team player.

What appeals to you about your position?

I think it's really good to help establish modern, serial timber construction in society, to implement sustainable thinking and action in day-to-day doing and to solve a wide range of challenges! Large projects also have their appeal. Of course, working and exchanging ideas with colleagues from the office, the Group and production. Networking creates progress. And last but not least: I can think differently about production processes and also test them!

What makes ZÜBLIN Timber special for you?

For me, the production of timber construction systems and the office at the same location is a unique selling point! This combination brings variety to everyday life and the productive, technical and economic areas are always highlighted in one.
The diverse and exciting projects and access to the Group also offer me great added value.

Insider tip: Would you recommend ZÜBLIN Timber?

Word of mouth is still the best form of advertising. A friend of mine worked as a skilled worker in production when I started at Timber. He recommended the company to me and I have since brought a few new colleagues from my circle of acquaintances to ZÜBLIN Timber. So yes!

What interests do you have in your free time?

I'm not just a team player in the office, I'm also passionate about playing soccer. As a defender, I show commitment and make sure my team scores points. As an enthusiastic motorcyclist, I go on weekend tours in the Alps or to our beautiful Bavarian lakes.
