What does an industrial mechanic do?
As an industrial mechanic, you will manufacture spare parts by drilling, welding, punching, bending, turning and milling and will be responsible for monitoring and optimizing production processes as well as checking and rectifying faults.
Maintenance and servicing of building and operating technology, handling pneumatic and hydraulic controls are just as much a part of your tasks as learning to draw and read plans independently and working independently according to technical documents.
Professional skills as an industrial mechanic:
- The assembly, maintenance and repair of machines and systemsare the main tasks
- You are responsible for fault diagnosis by identifying and rectifying faults and defects on machines
- Another important aspect of your work is carrying out regular maintenance to minimize downtime
- As an industrial mechanic, you will also be responsible for optimizing production processes by adjusting and adapting machines to increase efficiency and ensure the quality of the goods produced
