Interested young people met ZÜBLIN Timber at the "Civil Engineer Taster Day".
22 interested pupils and students aged between 15 and 30 took the opportunity to get a taste of the civil engineering profession.
The guests included school leavers, pupils from the FOS (technical secondary school), students and pupils from the start window year at Augsburg University of Applied Sciences.
Lectures, workshops and a visit to the plant gave the participants an insight into the various areas of activity and gave them an idea of whether the profession meets their expectations.
A civil engineer is in demand in many departments! The tasters were able to ask their questions to their Timber colleagues face to face. Manfred Wörle (Controlling), Technical Office (Max Baumann), Anton Sonner (Calculation) and Tobias Bichler (Construction/Project Management) were on hand to answer questions.
Our conclusion: We met interesting and interested young people who gave us their time to find out more about their career opportunities. There was no shortage of questions and answers, and hopefully we will see one or two faces again one day as future civil engineers!
