For Teresa and Luis, the training journey to become an industrial clerk officially ended on 31.1.2025 and was also the beginning of a new chapter in their budding careers.

Looking back, their training at ZÜBLIN Timber had quite a few milestones and journeys to offer:

Milestones and journey.
On Thursday, September 1, 2022, Teresa and Luis began their apprenticeship. Their adventure at ZÜBLIN Timber began with anticipation, enthusiasm and a little nervousness.
During their 2.5-year apprenticeship, they worked in many of our commercial departments, including accounting, purchasing, controlling, organization, tool and joining technology and marketing. This gave you the opportunity to gain valuable experience and impressions. Technical aspects and practical applications were not neglected either: you were given an insight into the technical office, where you were able to deal with topics such as work preparation, statics and design. You also learned about quality management in our timber construction production, which is a special facet of your training.

Your highlights.
In their first year of training, the two of them went to Ireland to lay the foundations for their "Kaufmann:frau International" certification.
This was made possible by the EU "Erasmus+" program, which offered the trainees funding for a three-week stay abroad and the opportunity to take the "Kaufmann:frau International" exam at the Irish-German Chamber of Foreign Trade.
Always in the thick of things.

These two communicative and cheerful trainees not only stood out for their hard work and motivation in their respective departments, but were also actively involved in the company. Whether it was their successful participation in soccer cups within the Group, photo shoots for the company or in the image film "Holzbau mit uns" - the two always enjoyed being at the forefront.

Now it's time for the exam.
Both successfully passed the written exam in November 2024, after which the oral exam took place on January 30, 2025 at the vocational school in Aichach. As part of this, they gave a 10 to 15-minute presentation on a business process from a department of their choice. The subsequent technical discussion with the examiners concluded the test.

Luis: "During my apprenticeship in the Tools and Joining Technology department, I was involved in the sale of column bases. I was able to understand the sales process and all the steps involved and found this topic very suitable for the oral exam."

Teresa also used the experience she gained in this department for her oral interview. "The procurement of screws sounds very simple at first, but there are a lot of things to consider. Purchasing conditions, evaluating supplier offers, entering them into our system and much more," says Teresa.

During the technical discussion, topics such as company names within the Group, trademark law, supplier decisions, incoming goods, stock levels, orders, payment terms, Incoterms, purchase contracts, delivery delays, etc. were discussed in detail.

Both graduated with great results and were honored for their academic achievements at the graduation ceremony.
Thanks to passing the exam, both now also have the Kaufmann:frau International in their pockets!

The big takeover.
Of course, we don't want to miss out on these talents and are thrilled to have them both as part of the ZÜBLIN Timber team. Luis is now working as a construction manager in project controlling and Teresa in procurement.

Thank you for the journey together so far. We look forward to everything that is still to come with you!
