On Girls' Day, some girls took the opportunity to get to know our timber construction in Aichach better.

Girls' Day is an annual day of action aimed at encouraging girls and women to pursue careers in the fields of crafts, technology, mathematics, science, IT and research. We have been using this day for years to get young women interested in careers in the construction industry.

An eventful timber construction day

After a warm welcome from Tanja Hörbrand (Team Leader Human Resources at ZÜBLIN Timber), a company presentation and a lively round of getting to know each other, the guests set off on an exciting tour of our factory premises. From the street, you can't see how big our premises actually are and what impressive technologies and possibilities are hidden there. Michael Stegmair (Production Manager Timber Construction) gave a tour of the production halls and was very pleased with the many questions from the participants.

Various professions and colleagues were introduced throughout the morning, such as Michelle Möckel (technical employee in the area of statics/design/AV) and Christian Asam (design engineer). These colleagues from the technical office aroused interest in the professions of draughtsman and employees in project work preparation, construction and the structural engineering department.

The girls worked hard in the production of our wooden construction elements and had the opportunity to create a small souvenir with a cordless screwdriver and screws: they built birdhouses with their own hands. They also learned more about the daily tasks of carpenters and the benefits of the trade.

In the new T³ office building, Andrea Müller (Planning Coordinator) welcomed the young ladies and shared exciting information about the construction of our headquarters and her professional field! The girls asked lots of questions and explored the premises of the new timber hybrid building.

Enthusiasm was awakened and potential discovered: A lot of fun was had here!
