A reason to celebrate: topping-out ceremony at ‘TRIDEA’ in Munich

The topping-out ceremony for the three-part “TRIDEA” office complex marked an important milestone on the road to completion. Following the completion of the structural work, planners, project partners, contractors and guests gathered at the construction site in Munich on 8 October 2026 to celebrate the progress of the build together. The project is being carried out by STRABAG Real Estate as part of a service development for the Bayerische Versorgungskammer (BVK).

During the topping-out ceremony, those involved in the project looked back on the progress made so far. In their speeches, representatives of the investor, the City of Munich and other project partners highlighted the excellent collaboration and the significance of the project for the Bogenhausen area. The completion of the structural work some two and a half years after the laying of the foundation stone underlines the on-schedule development of the complex. The highlight of the event was the traditional topping-out wreath ceremony, featuring a speech by Tobias Gottwald, site foreman at Ed. Züblin AG. The topping-out ceremony then provided an opportunity for personal exchanges and discussions in a pleasant atmosphere.

Hybrid timber construction characterises two of the three building sections
The “TRIDEA” comprises a solid-structure URBAN TOWER approximately 100 metres high, a GARDEN TOWER, a timber-hybrid high-rise approximately 60 metres high, and THE BRIDGE, the connecting building wing constructed using timber-hybrid construction. Completion of the office complex is scheduled for 2028.

ZÜBLIN Timber carried out the timber construction work for the timber-hybrid high-rise and the connecting building block. The structural system combines reinforced concrete cores, timber-concrete composite slabs and glulam columns to form a timber-hybrid concept that brings together the respective strengths of the building materials used.
 
Timber post-and-beam façade for the nursery
The timber construction work on both buildings was successfully completed in July 2026, after just under a year of construction. ZÜBLIN Timber is currently installing the timber post-and-beam façade for the nursery on the site. This phase of construction is scheduled for completion in March 2027.
