- Insights into the professional world at ZÜBLIN Timber
- From trade to office to construction site
The annual Girls' Day and Boys' Day offer girls and boys insights into professions in which women or men are underrepresented. At ZÜBLIN Timber, girls' power was in demand this year!
Young talent is always welcome at ZÜBLIN Timber - and recently in particular: on Girls' Day, a few girls between the ages of 12 and 19 took a closer look at timber construction in Aichach.
After the welcome and introductory round, there was a tour of the company. From the street, you don't realize how big our company premises actually are and what cool power and technology is on them. Many professions and personalities at ZÜBLIN Timber were introduced. Colleagues from the technical office whetted the appetite for the jobs of draughtsman and as an employee in project work preparation and in the structural engineering department.
In the production of our timber construction elements, visitors worked diligently and made a small souvenir with a saw, hammer and nail: Birdhouses were built by hand. We also explained what carpenters do every day at our company and the benefits of the trade.
And then off to the construction site: 50 meters further on, we went directly to the construction site of our new office building to get first-hand impressions from the project manager. It's quite a varied job! The girls and young women asked a few questions and explored the floors of the new timber-hybrid building "T3".
Enthusiasm awakened and potential discovered: a lot of fun was had here! And there was certainly a lot to report back home.
It is always a pleasure for us to make timber construction appealing to young talents. We look forward to 2025!
