Hangweide district, Kernen

We create social housing.
In Kernen, Baden-Württemberg, the Hangweide district was built with socially subsidized housing. Together with ZÜBLIN subsidiary Wolfer & Goebel, we built 35 apartments using the MOLENO® Wohnen timber hybrid construction system. The new building, designed by the architectural firm blocher partners, corresponds to the MOLENO® Living concept, with which Ed. Züblin AG is a framework agreement partner in GDW 2.0 serial housing construction of the German Housing Industry Association.

Building benefits? You bet! Thanks to the serial and modular construction method, the new building can be erected in a short construction time and particularly economically. Non-load-bearing interior walls can be placed flexibly, which opens up a great deal of design freedom in the layout of the floor plans and the concept of the Hangweide district pursues the goal of bringing people together as a sustainable and forward-looking project of the century.
