School, Erfurt

As the main contractor, ZÜBLIN carried out the turnkey extension to Thuringian Community School 6 in Erfurt-Hochheim. A distinctive feature of the new building is the MOLENO® modular timber-hybrid construction method developed by ZÜBLIN. The state capital, Erfurt, opted for this construction concept partly due to the anticipated benefits in terms of construction time and scheduling. In particular, completion on schedule and the rapid availability of the premises for school operations played a key role in this decision.

The load-bearing external walls of the building were constructed using LENO® cross-laminated timber.
