Tau Kirke TAU, Norway

Timber offers a wide range of structural and architectural design possibilities, both inside and out.

LENO® cross-laminated timber elements were used in the ‘Tau Kirke’ in Norway. We supplied our client, Moelven Limtre AS, and manufactured the wall and roof elements for this project at our own production facility in Aichach.

Special features:

  • Most of the wall elements we supplied were produced in a visually appealing industrial visible quality, as well as with a special chamfer in the window reveal area.
  • We produced some of the roof elements in industrial visible quality for the flat roof design and some for the pitched roof design.
  • The element sizes were planned to be optimized for the on-site glulam skeleton structure (grid) and with a view to economical transport to Norway.
