Vinzenz Pallotti School, Friedberg

Birch multiplex characterizes the façade of the new Vinzenz Pallotti School in Friedberg near Augsburg. The façade constructions of the new buildings of the special school and the sports hall were erected both as a classic mullion-transom construction and as a unitized façade.

The special feature: The timber-aluminum mullion-transom façades consist of 50 mm thick birch multiplex panels. The element façades were designed in such a way that an integrated window sill and a surrounding frame are formed, which is clearly emphasized by the multiplex doublings on the room side. Precise prefabrication and planning are an essential prerequisite for the smooth success of the façade, especially with this material.
