Wälderhaus, Hamburg

The WÄLDERHAUS at Wilhelmsburger Inselpark was built as part of the International Building Exhibition (IBA Hamburg) and combines various functions within a single building.

It is situated at the former main entrance to the International Garden Show (IGS). With its architecture and larch timber façade, the building defines the character of its location.

The theme of ‘forest and wood’ forms the central motif of the project. It is reflected both in the architectural design and in the building’s various functional areas.
