I have had a passion for timber as a building material ever since I was a child. A carpenter at heart and an engineer by training, I am inspired every day by the unique challenges of our projects. They motivate me to combine technical and economic requirements with the possibilities of modern timber construction. For me, this means bringing together the traditions of craftsmanship and innovative approaches in today's construction industry.

Name:
Simon Pfeffer
Admission:
2013
Education:
B. Eng. MBA, master carpenter

Even as a child, I was fascinated by building with natural materials, especially wood. I began my professional career at the age of 15 with an apprenticeship as a carpenter. This was followed by training as a master carpenter and a degree in civil engineering, as well as further qualifications leading to a master's degree in business management. Since then, wood has not just been a material, but part of my life.

I have worked in various roles in the construction industry, from the construction site to management. These experiences have given me a holistic perspective on processes, people and structures. Today, I am wholeheartedly committed to quality, innovation and the continuous development of modern timber construction.

  • At ZÜBLIN Timber, I am taking the next step in my career. Whether in the production of timber construction elements or in day-to-day processes at the factory, in the office or on site, I want to contribute to efficient processes, collaboration and the successful delivery of our projects. This is a matter close to my heart, both personally and professionally.
